OVERVIEW OF DAY’S EVENTS

 

Early morning Tessa Jowell, Aftercare Minister, Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London, and Peter Hendy, Transport Commissioner, will lay flowers at Kings Cross St Pancras station

 

             Ken Livingstone and Peter Hendy will go on to lay flowers at Tavistock Square

 

 

11.30 – 12noon                Unveiling of memorial plaques at five locations

Midday       National two minutes’ silence observed.

 

 

12.30 – 2.30pm                Lunch provided by Transport for London

2-3pm        Survivors are invited to visit the five memorial plaques

3pm          Some families will attend a ceremony to lay the Book of Tributes at the Museum of London and St. Ethelburgha’s Centre

6pm          Evening commemorative event at Queen Mary’s Gardens, Regent’s Park
